Elephant Beach vs Scuba in Havelock
Elephant Beach is a boat-and-snorkel outing on our retreats. Try Scuba is a tank with an instructor. Do not book one thinking you bought the other.

Same island, different mornings
Elephant Beach is a Havelock outing: boat, beach, snorkel over a shallow patch, photos, back. Our retreat inclusions list an Elephant Beach boat ride with complimentary boat-crew snorkelling. That is snorkel. You breathe at the surface.
Scuba is compressed air, a BCD, and time underneath with an instructor (Try Scuba) or with a card (fun dives / courses). You book that from Try Scuba, fun dives, or SSI courses.
Travel round-ups mash both into “water sports at Elephant Beach.” Guests then arrive angry that nobody handed them a tank. We would rather you read this paragraph.
How we mix them in a week
Tanks when ears and weather allow. Elephant Beach or kayaking when you want a lighter day or a surface interval before a flight. Itinerary shapes.
What we will not do
Call snorkel a scuba certification. Count a beach boat as Open Water. Quote a mystery “Elephant Beach scuba price” in a blog post. GST for tanks is on the catalog pages. Retreat inclusions are on trips.
Still unsure which morning you want? WhatsApp with “snorkel” or “tank” in the first line.
